Canadian junior exploration company Basin Uranium has acquired the Great Divide Basin Uranium Project in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, US.
The company staked 104 unpatented mineral lode claims covering around 1,880 acres in the south-central region of Wyoming within the Great Divide Basin (GDB).

These newly acquired claims are contiguous with Premier American Uranium’s Cyclone Project, which has an exploration target ranging from 6.5 to 10.5 million short tonnes at 0.06% triuranium octoxide at the same concentration.
Historical drilling in the area dates back to the 1970s, with many drill pads still identifiable, particularly on the western half of the project.
Recent exploration activities by Tournigan Energy have identified wells with grade-thickness (GT) values exceeding 0.25Gt, located roughly 500–1,000ft south-west of the Basin Uranium project.
The exploration activities identified the presence of potentially economic grades of uranium mineralisation in the vicinity.
